Bio

Max Krien (b. 2000, Santa Fe NM) is a composer and sound artist based in Portland, Oregon whose work explores themes of biomimetics, indigeneity, and environmental conciousness. Inspired by bioacoustics research, Earth Law, and traditions of repair, his bio-digital practice seeks to explore hidden ecologies and deepen our entangled relations with the land through sound.

Max holds a BA from Lewis & Clark College in Music Composition & Computer Science and has presented work across the US and Mexico. He currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Music Technology at Portland Community College.
